When you walk into CBJ for the High Holidays, you’ll enter our beautiful sanctuary beneath its magnificent dome and be welcomed with warm smiles and a genuine sense of community. Whether you come every year or are joining us for the first time, someone will be there to help you get settled and feel at home.
Our services combine authentic Jewish liturgy with warmth, meaning, and accessibility. Rabbi Shimon Hecht leads the community, together with Rabbi Naftoli Silberberg as our leading cantor, Elimelech Hecht as Cantor for Shacharit, and Rabbi Mendel Brawer, who shares stories, insights, and explanations woven throughout the service.
You can follow along in Hebrew or English, join in the familiar melodies, listen quietly, or simply connect to G-d in your own way. Before the Musaf prayers, the Rabbi shares words of inspiration that connect the prayers and themes of the day to our lives today.
Children will enjoy their own engaging programs and services, giving them a chance to experience the High Holidays in a fun and meaningful way.
From the stirring melodies of the Machzor to the powerful sound of the shofar, the High Holidays at CBJ are traditional, uplifting, and meaningful.

While advanced seat reservations are recommended, no one will be turned away due to lack of funds, and walk-ins are welcome.d
